The awards aim to recognise individuals and/or organisations that go 'the extra mile' in considering the needs of people who are blind or have low vision in local communities

Glaucoma is one of the main causes of vision loss in Australia. Vision Australia helps people with glaucoma to increase their independence.


Help us to help others in our Autumn Appeal

Seventy-seven year old Jeff has macular degeneration. He is joined by 300,000 Australians who are blind or have low vision. And this figure is set to double by 2020.

We urgently need to raise $660,000 to meet the growing demand for our free programs and help people like Jeff to maintain their independence.


Landmark decision for voters who are blind or have low vision

An announcement made by the Federal Government on 9 March is an initial step towards ensuring that people who are blind or have low vision will eventually have the opportunity to exercise their constitutional right to vote privately.
